Toroa International House

Our Staff

We embrace the Maori concepts of support for members of our community through the whanau (family) and hapu (group of whanau / families). Residents in each unit form the whanau, and the Toroa community of 137 residents & staff form the hapu.

Christina (Head of Residence), the Senior Residential Assistant (Darshini), and Residential Assistants (Elinor, Sim, Sarah, Matt, Stew and Simon) all live on site.

An RA is on duty each evening and at the weekend, so there’s always someone around to help if you need it.

Our unique living environment has a solid staff framework that fosters a genuine sense of belonging and nurturing.
